Dr. Andrea Bedini, born on the 24 of October 1972.
Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at Modena University, Italy, on 29 October 1997 with full marks (110/110 pts) and specialized in Infectious Diseases at the same University on 5 November 2001 (50/50 cum laudae).
Dr Bedini participated to numerous international clinical trials on HIV infection and antiretroviral therapy (i.e. CIOP, EuroSIDA, ACTG 384, Protocol GS-99-903, GNOMO, OPERA).
From the 1-March to 31-May-2000 he has attended the Laboratory of Clinical Infectious Disease at Ancona University learning the Method for broth dilution antifungal susceptibility testing of yeast (methodology developed by NCCLS).
Since 2002 is working as medical doctor at the Clinic of Infectious and Tropical Diseases, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Modena, Italy.
Dr. Andrea Bedini is member of CIO (Comitato Infezioni Ospedaliere) and of Antimicrobial Stewardship Team of the Policlinico of Modena. Since 2002 he works as consultant for the following departments: Orthopedic, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Geriatric, Obstetric, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Neonatology and Adult-ICU.
Since 2016 he also works as Infectious Disease Consultant for many departments of the Ospedale Civile S. Agostino Estense of Baggiovara (Modena).
Since 2007 he works as Infectious Diseases consultant at the Penitentiary of Modena (Casa Circondariale S. Anna) and at the Penitentiary of Castelfranco Emilia (MO).
Fields of interest: Antimicrobial Stewardship, Infection Control, Antibiotic Therapy, Mycology, Nosocomial Infections, Prosthetic joint infections, HIV.
Dr Bedini has a good knowledge of english and french. He has a excellent knowledge of SPSS 22.0 (statistical software).
